 Después un período de sequía de 5 años, la mítica banda regresa con un nuevo álbum titulado "Death Magnetic", (muerte magnética) y llegará a las tiendas el próximo 12 de septiembre de 2008.Death Magnetic será el noveno álbum de estudio de la banda californiana y según algunas declaraciones de los miembros del grupo supondrá un regreso a las raíces musicales del cuarteto.
